About Us
Our Mission
The mission of Tobay Day School, in collaboration with our parents and the community, is to provide children an excellent education in a safe and positive learning environment. Tobay Day School is where children learn through play while they are prepared with the critical skills to reach their full potential. We provide a curricutum based on the standards of the local Syosset school district kindergarten program. These goals are reached through four areas of your pre-school childs growth: emotional, social, cognitive and physical. The students learn through exploration, discovery and play. Throughout their pre-kindergaten education at Tobay day School your child will meet new challenges in a environment that is secure, challenging, and caring.
After 65 Years...
Tobay Day School is a nursery, pre-k and day school for ages two, three and four (ages 2-4) year old children. Since our inception we operate with a cooperative structure. Our families are encouraged to participate during their child's preschool education.
At Tobay Day School our children greatly benefit from a preschool experience focused on the curriculum of our local grade schools. We provide a pleasant and well equipped facility, expert teachers and a well-rounded enriching program. Our philosophy begins with play and the idea that children learn best when they are having fun.
A cooperative school is a family oriented school where parents work in conjunction with the professional staff to provide the finest preschool education possible. Families are directly involved in their children’s education, and are welcome to participate in the classroom. Parents are urged to contribute time to the school by volunteering on the board as well as fund raising committees. Tobay Day School consists of a 3 hour educational program. With the help of parents and staff, Tobay school will ensure your child's readiness for kindergarten.
